品种来源:原名长农17号,是山西省农科院谷子所用红母鸡嘴作母本,垣曲黄作父本杂交选育而成的、具有特异性状的谷子新品种。特征特性:幼苗叶片和叶鞘均为绿色,主茎高130-140厘米,茎粗0.6厘米。主茎叶片数24个,叶长31.8厘米,叶宽3.6厘米。单株秆重13.2克,不分蘖。穗为长纺锤型,穗码紧密,坚硬如绳。绿刚毛,短毛。穗长25厘米左右,单穗重13.9克,单穗粒重11克,出谷率79%,出米率80%。白谷黄米,粳性。千粒重3.3克。小米中含粗蛋白10.01%、粗脂肪3.3%、淀粉73.6%。苗期谷瘟病接种
