In recent years, the University Library of the United States has taken advantage of its unique advantages in resources and the thriving Internet to join hands in distance education. The progress of the project is impressive and optimistic. Of course, people also found that many problems need to be answered. Distance learning on the Internet or a less developed network applications, the problem certainly exists, but it is difficult to have a static and stereotyped answers. Many questions can not be answered explicitly Yes or No (yes or no). The answer depends mainly on the parties’ environmental conditions and needs. Davidson, director of information services at the University of South Georgia, wrote at an international library services world conference that at least four aspects should be taken into account when launching programs to support distance education in universities: 1. Program and curriculum; 2, the layout of teaching points; 3, library services and content; 4, library services. The author listed examples of some American universities in his article to support his views and opinions.
