金属硫蛋白(Metallothionein MT)为一组非酶性低分子蛋白,富于硫和重金属,近年来在生物学和毒理学领域中已引起广泛兴趣。此蛋白最早由Margoshes等(1957)在研究镉的生物学作用时从马肾皮质中分离获得,Kgi(1961)等作了详细研究,并归纳有以下特性:①分子量在6,000~7,000含多量重金属。②氨基酸组成中含大量半胱氨酸,无芳香族氨基酸。③具有特异性金属硫胺的紫外吸收光
Metallothionein MT, a group of non-enzymatic low-molecular proteins rich in sulfur and heavy metals, has attracted widespread interest in the fields of biology and toxicology in recent years. This protein was first isolated from the kidney cortex by studying the biological role of cadmium by Margoshes et al. (1957). Kgi et al.
