睡莲的外形与荷花很相似,区别在于荷花的叶子和花瓣是挺出水面,而睡莲的叶子和花瓣是浮在水面,因此睡莲有“花中睡美人”之称。因此,睡莲又名水浮莲、子午莲、性喜强光、高温、湿润和通风良好的环境。耐寒,但忌冰冻。对土壤选择不严,而以富含有机质的肥沃土壤为好。在阳台上养上一盆睡莲不仅美化了环境,同时也提升了情操。
The shape of a water lily is very similar to that of a lotus flower.
