高中英语的语法教学是高中英语教学的重要组成部分,语法教学具有系统性,实用性,简洁性和前瞻性等特点。语法教学大体说来有两种方式,一是传统的语法教学,二是让学生进行探究性的学习。下面我以定语从句的教学为例,来详细了解英语语法探究性学习的可操作性。
说到定语从句的教学,传统的教学会有以下步骤,首先告诉学生什么是定语从句,然后罗列出引导定语从句的关系代词和关系副词,并告诉学生哪种情况下用哪个关系代词或者关系副词,最后让学生们记住相关规则。在写题的时候能够正确的写出关系代词即可。这种教学方法很有效,很简单,但是学生并不能真正地了解定语从句,并能将它运用到写作中去。下面我来分享一下我在定语从句的教学过程中是如何让学生进行探究性学习的。这节课的教学目标是让学生了解关系代词which,who,that,并能知道他们用法的区别。
首先,给学生呈现出包含定语从句的小故事的开头。One day, the little princess who was beautiful and kind came to a land, on which there were beautiful flowers and green grass. She thought that was her dream land that was peaceful and full of possibilities. 学生读完这个小故事,我会告诉他们哪几个句子是定语从句。然后让他们以小组为单位,看能不能把每个定语从句拆分成两个简单句。五分钟后,学生以小组为单位,呈现出他们的讨论结果。其一,每个定语从句都可拆成两个简单句。如,第一个句子可拆成3个简单句,The little princess came to a land. The little princess is beautiful and kind. There were beautiful flowers and green grass on the land.
然后为了让学生更好地了解定语从句是什么。可以提出两个简单句让他们合并成一个定语从句。例如:将第一组简单句we like the story. The story is interesting and attractive. 和第二组简单句 We like the story. Nancy told the story to us.合并成定语从句。学生通过探究可以得出答案:第一组句子合并后为We like the story which/that is interesting.第二组句子合并后为We like the story which/that/省略Nancy told us. 列举这两组句子有两个目的,一是让学生进一步了解定语从句是怎么来的。二是先行词指物时,先行词在从句中作主语时关系代词的选择和先行词在从句中作宾语时关系代词的选择是有区别的。从一开始,学生心里要有这个概念。
然后呈现更多的先行词是人,物,的高考真题的例句。
