经过6年准备,从2016年12月10日到2017年3月5日,第三届“今日文献展”在北京今日美术馆展出,来自不同国家和地区的50位艺术家参展。此次展览的目光聚焦在发展中国家的代表“金砖五国”上,并辐射全球化版图中被称为“中间地带”的新崛起国家,这些艺术家们希望摆脱西方主导的全球化语境,呈现更多元化的艺术。艺术家在表现新兴国家面临的如拆迁、腐败、消费主义等共同问题时,呈现出非西方化的艺术活力,这也许是展览提供给观众的“另一种选择”。
After 6 years of preparation, from December 10, 2016 to March 5, 2017, the 3rd Documentary Exhibition Today is on display at the Today Art Museum in Beijing with 50 artists from different countries and regions participating. The exhibition focuses on developing countries’ representatives, the BRICS, and the newly emerging countries in the globalized territory, known as the “middle ground,” who want to get out of the West’s The context of globalization presents a more diverse art. In presenting the emerging issues of common problems such as demolition, corruption and consumerism in emerging countries, artists exhibit a non-Western artistic vitality, which may be the “alternative” that the exhibition provides to the audience.
