山西是全国出生缺陷发生率最高的省。襄垣县又是山西省出生缺陷率最高的县之一。为了掌握襄垣全县出生缺陷率的高低、分布和动态,探讨出生缺陷的高危因素,以便更好地制定干预措施,对襄垣县医院和人群分别做了出生缺陷监测。
