以象增强管为基础的,能够以自然彩色再现图象的夜视仪要求光谱灵敏度与人眼光谱灵敏度相似,这样就会失掉现代阴极近红外灵敏度的优点。此外,由于色温随时变化,景物的照明条件无法予测,这就使以自然彩色表现景物时变化无常,而且在很多条件下根本不可能。现在有几种实用的设计方案。有些以时序彩色成象为基础,其它以三个平行彩色光路为基础,前者意味着光有明显损失,后者会导致装置笨重昂贵。这些系统主要用作电影摄象机或彩色电视摄象机前面使用的部件,只是当景物照明或多或少定性确定的时候,才有实际意义。
Night vision devices based on intensifiers, which reproduce images in natural color, require spectral sensitivities similar to those of the human eye, thus losing the advantages of modern cathode near-infrared sensitivity. In addition, because the color temperature changes over time, the lighting conditions of the scene can not be measured, which makes the natural color of the scene when the erratic and in many cases impossible. There are several practical design options. Some are based on sequential color imaging and others are based on three parallel colored optical paths, the former of which means a significant loss of light, which can lead to bulky devices.
