Objective To investigate the preventive effect of systemic nursing intervention on central venous catheter-related infections in ICU and provide reference for the prevention of central venous catheter-related infections in ICU. Methods A total of 104 critically ill patients with indwelling central venous catheter admitted to ICU from February 2014 to February 2015 in our hospital were randomly divided into observation group (52 cases) and control group (52 cases). Control group to implement routine nursing intervention, observation group to implement systematic nursing intervention. The incidence of central venous catheter-related infections and the incidence of local bleeding, catheter slippage, catheter obstruction and other adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results After systematic nursing intervention, the incidence of central venous catheter-related infection in the observation group was lower than that in the control group. The incidence of adverse reactions after catheterization was lower than that in the control group, with statistical significance (P <0.05). Conclusion Systemic nursing can effectively reduce the incidence of central venous catheter-related infections in ICU and adverse reactions after indwelling catheter, which is worthy of clinical application.
