PLATEAU三星艺术博物馆一直致力于呈现韩国和国际当代艺术的动态景观。作为博物馆的重要展览项目,PLATEAU将展出中国著名艺术家刘韡的个展。刘韡的作品,以建筑碎片和旧书籍这些普通的材料为主,通过密集型的劳动手工创建而出,从而呈现中国的错位城市以及更广泛的亚洲城市和无休止的城市发展问题。通过解构和重建的过程以及作品重新洗牌,创造新的城市景观,扩展时间和空间以深刻反思人类的生活条件,同时,刘韡的实践直接触及了当代中国复杂的现实,它并没有给人刻板老套的描绘写照,而是正确地自我定位,叙述当代艺术史。
PLATEAU Samsung Art Museum is dedicated to presenting dynamic landscapes of Korean and international contemporary art. As an important exhibition project of the museum, PLATEAU will exhibit a solo exhibition of famous Chinese artist Liu Yong. Liu Yong’s work, which is dominated by ordinary pieces of building debris and old books, is created through intensive manual labor, presenting China’s dislocation cities as well as the wider Asian cities and endless urban development issues. Through the process of deconstruction and reconstruction and the reshuffle of works, new urban landscapes are created, time and space are expanded to reflect deeply on the living conditions of human beings.
