According to relevant data from the Japan Institute of Maritime Industry, in 2002 the world’s bulk carriers were scheduled to be completed at 265 ships and 15.8 million dwt, which is slightly lower than the 299 and 19.7 million dwt in 2001, but it is still at a high level.
