洪溪镇位于浙北平原嘉善县,地处“长三角”经济圈腹地,是“接轨上海”第一站的发展前沿。全镇区域面积25.9 平方公里,总人口1.89万。改革开放以来,洪溪镇党委、政府始终坚持“两手抓,两手都要硬”的方针,在社会主义物质文明建设和精神文明建设上都取得了丰硕成果。近年来,洪溪镇通过产业结构调整,大力发展效益农业,大白鹅、长毛兔、以速生杨为主的苗木和特种水产品堪称“三白一蓝”的产业已迅速形成规模;招商引资“一号工程”成绩突出,民营经济发展迅猛,工业园区规划合理, 拥有较为领先的治污供热等基础设施。现有园区企业70家, 工业总产值达23.04亿元,占全镇经济总量的98%。2003年全镇实现国内生产总值5.64亿元,农民人均纯收入6396元。
