女童的发展事关国家的发展。女童工作是妇联的一项特色工作。为提高公众和家庭对保护女童权益的意识,2001年,全国妇联与联合国儿童基金会合作开展了为期5年的“女童优先权”项目。旨在提高全社会对女童问题的认识,减少和消除对女童的歧视,提高全社会的性别平等意识,维护女童权益。近三年来,通过宣传、培训、项目受益人群已近10万人。
The development of girls is a matter of national development. Girls’ work is a special feature of the Women’s Federation. To raise public and family awareness of protecting the rights and interests of girls, in 2001, ACWF and UNICEF jointly launched a five-year “girl’s priority” project. The purpose is to raise awareness of the girl child in society as a whole, reduce and eliminate discrimination against the girl child, raise the awareness of gender equality in the whole society and safeguard the rights and interests of the girl child. In the recent three years, nearly 100,000 people have benefited from publicity and training programs.
