The new South Australian Center for Health Care Research (SAHMRI), the most important health care research and development project in South Australia in the 21st century, has a total GFA of 25,000m 2 and can accommodate 675 researchers from South Australia, Australia and other regions. The research center is located at the western end of the city, adjacent to the newly built Royal Adelaide Hospital, creating an entirely new area of health care and research.
