Ascend的影响力在中国逐渐扩大,1997年,其接入及ATM/帧中继核心交换产品已覆盖全国23个省市。Ascend不仅完成了邮电部国家帧中继/ATM骨干网的安装工作,而且还安装了超过3万个模拟及ISDN接入端口,遍及全中国,能够满足多于60万个Internet及在线用户的需求。年底又与浙江省邮电管理局签署了“浙江宽带多业务网络”合同,为中国提供了第一个真正ATM+帧中继+IP交换的省级公共骨干网络。
Ascend’s influence in China gradually expanded in 1997, its access and ATM / Frame Relay core exchange products have covered 23 provinces and cities nationwide. Ascend has not only completed the installation of the National Telecommunication and Telegraphy Frame Relay / ATM backbone network but also installed more than 30,000 analog and ISDN access ports across China to meet the needs of more than 600,000 Internet and online users . At the end of the year, it signed the contract of “Zhejiang Broadband Multi-service Network” with Zhejiang Posts and Telecommunications Administration to provide China with the first provincial public backbone network with ATM + Frame Relay + IP exchange.
