Debates about the security of the DES (US Data Encryption Standard) took place as early as the mid-1970s, when Herman and Diffie argued that the 56-bit key was too short to stop an exhaustive search for the deciphering method. In addition to the question of password security, there is a problem that many people are using the same password algorithm is bound to greatly enhance the password system can decipher the possible economic benefits. The so-called “standard” argument is contrary to good password practice. The U.S. government only uses DES for class-less information.
