种源试验是林木的群体测定,也是研究林木群体遗传变异的依据。在当前林木育种工作中,它是充分利用现有林木基因资源的一种主要选种手段,是良种选育工作的基础。通过种源试验,可以确定不同产地在一定地区生境条件下的适应能力和生产力,以便为当地筛选出高产、优质、稳定的适宜种源,从而提高林木的生产率。为了对赤桉树种进行种源筛选,我站于1984年接受全国赤桉种源试验的任务,对赤桉13个种源进行了育苗,造林试验,现将造林后一年结果整理小结如下。
Seed germplasm testing is a group measurement of trees and is also the basis for studying the genetic variation of tree populations.
