无机含氧酸含有氢和氧并伴随另一种非金属元素,如:H_2SO_4,HNO_3,H_3PO_4等等。在这些酸分子中,可电离的氢原子总是与氧原子结合在一起的,而所有的氧原子再与非金属元素的单一中心离子结合,其通式可用(HO)_mRO_n表示。根据酸的电离程度,可将无机含氧酸分为高强酸、强酸、弱酸和极弱酸几种。高强酸在形式上约有99.99%电离,所以一种纯度为99.99%的强酸将在水中全部以离子形式存在。一般强酸约有99.9%电离,一般弱酸约有99.9%以分子形式存在,极弱酸有99.99%以分子形式存在。
