我国南方,双季晚稻抽穗扬花期常遇低温危害,造成空壳秕粒,影响产量稳定提高。各地贫下中农和农业科技人员,为了防止低温危害,在实践中总结出不少办法,在生产中起到一定的积极怍用。为了从根本上解决低温危害问题,能不能选育一些耐寒的水稻品种呢?通过一些实地调查,我们认为这种可能性是存在的。1965年,我们在云南等地考察,看到那里的水稻抗寒性很强。
