Wild cotton species native to the low latitudes of the tropics and subtropics in the South, in the long-term system development, the formation of short-day genetic type, when it is introduced into the longer sun, due to long-term conditions, the development is inhibited, You can not flower bud. Therefore, understanding the response of wild cotton species to the photoperiod will help to transfer some of the properties of the wild cotton species to the cultivated cotton species so that disease-resistant or insect-resistant varieties can be obtained. From 1978 to 1979, we observed the effects of photoperiod length on the growth of several wild species of Gossypium, and the results are summarized as follows.
