矿区水文、工程、环境地质工作是矿产勘查中一个重要的组成部分,同时也是评价矿床开采技术条件的依据。它直接关系到矿产资源的经济合理开发和矿山生产的安全、环保。水工环地质资料是正确评价矿床开采技术条件不可缺少的依据,同时还影响到矿床开发利用过程中可能发生的突发性地质灾害或安全事故的处理决策问题及矿山地质环境恢复治理方案的制订和实施。因此矿区水工环地质工作的程度和精度,势必影响到整个矿区的评价和矿床的合理开发利用及规划。
