《渴望》的成功之处是多方面的,人们可以从不同的角度进行总结。但是,不论从哪个角度评价它,都离不开这样一个前提,即它是我国第一部大型室内电视连续剧。而作为一部国产的大型室内电视连续剧来说,它既应该具有一般电视剧的特点,又应该有其不同之处;不但如此,它还应该与国外同类作品有所区别。这也就是说,它必须将一般电视剧和国外同类作品作为参照系,从而找到并确立自己的独特的审美价值。令人欣慰的是,《渴望》较好地解决了切入生活的视角与表现生活的层面的关系,同时也为它的表现内容找到了合适的表现形式,因此它使自己成为一个完整而又和谐的艺术整体。既然如此,那么我们当然应该从这个艺术整体出发,来剖析这部大型室内电视连续剧的建构方式和审美意蕴。
