在海南北边的长流镇,和在南边的黄流镇,都是海南名镇。它们除了历史悠久,文化发达,人才辈出,还各有特色。就女人来讲,长流女人凸现的个性更鲜明。长流女人的特色,在长流姩身上表现得淋漓尽致。海南方言的姩,是指中年妇女,半老徐娘也。有的长流姩打扮很有特色,她们戴的竹笠,绑在脸上的绳子扎在竹笠的外沿,成个大“V”字。这是她们住在海边,这样绑竹笠不易被风刮走的缘故。有的女人衣服,右边都贴有一块不是补丁的蓝布或黑布。据说,这源于她们不少人是置族的后裔。这样衣服缝法源于疍族。
