Through the comprehensive study of oil and gas accumulation conditions in the main foreland basins in central and western China and the dissection of typical oil and gas reservoirs, it is concluded that the oil and gas distribution in the foreland basins in the central and western regions has the following rules: The major reservoirs of oil and gas reservoirs are foreland thrust belts, The main oil and gas reservoirs are mainly distributed on the thrust belt and the frontier uplift belt. The lithologic, lithologic-stratigraphic and structural-lithologic reservoirs are mainly distributed in the Qianbei depression and the front slope zone. The presently discovered reservoirs All of them are distributed in a ring around the hydrocarbon generation center. The size of the reservoir has a good positive correlation with the hydrocarbon expulsion intensity of the source rock. The hydrocarbons are mainly distributed in the high-quality reservoir-cap combination below the regional caprock, In the foreland basin, oil and gas are mainly distributed in the reservoir-cap assemblage below the Paleogene gypsum caprock. The delta and shore-shallow lacustrine sedimentary systems are favorable facies belts for reservoir development and hydrocarbon accumulation; hydrocarbons are mainly distributed in favorable In the developmental zones of the transport system, the traps located on the dominant channel of hydrocarbon migration are most favorable to the accumulation of oil and gas. The oil and gas in the mid-western foreland basin have the characteristics of multi-period accumulation and late adjustment. The late Himalayan campaign was the main period in which early oil and gas reservoirs were adjusted and shaped, forming a large number of secondary oil and gas reservoirs such as Dawanqi, Iqiklik and the middle of the South Pacification.
