作者对治疗弱视的“精细工作”进行改良，设计了一种“量化分级增视图”。使图的趣味性吸引患儿；使图案的视分辨难度从易到难分档次成系列，作为弱视治疗时的注视描绘靶；使图的颜色有利于患眼黄班中心凹注视。通过临床观察发现：描此图的实验组比做传统精细工作的对照组患眼每增长１行视力所耗费的时间明显缩短。文章还从各方面分析了疗程缩短的原因。
