县报言论与中央和省市报纸的言论确有不同之处。但是,如果在贯彻中央精神、结合本地实际情况上,加强言论的针对性,那末,其影响力也是不小的。首先,要将当地群众最关心的社会性问题作为本报言论的热点。去年本报刊出言论文章160多篇,其中属于当地群众关心的社会性问题占了50％左右。比如,我县基层的大部分书店实行了个人承包制,一些承包者为了多盈利,很少经销关于作物种植和禽畜养殖方面的“农书”,这就与大力提倡科技兴农很不相称。针对这个问题,本报在去年12月24日第三版刊出了《书店也应参与科技兴农》的言论,指出科技兴农是全社会的大事,书店也应参与科技兴农,解决农民急需用书的困难,效果不错。
