我国加入WTO,对公安监督工作提出了更高更严的要求,但是当前公安监督队伍在思想观念、工作作风、监督体制、机构建设、监督地位和自身素质等方面与这一新形势新任务的需要还存在不相适应的地方。因此,必须按照与时俱进的总体要求,加强对公安监督队伍的专门教育培训,进一步改进工作作风,大力推进监督体制、机制的改革,加强监督机构建设,努力建立一支政治坚定、业务精通、作风优良、执法公正的能够担当重任的公安监督队伍。
