近几年来連环画的出版工作有了很大發展,并取得了很大的成續,無論是在内容方面或是在绘画的技巧方面,都有了显著的提高。新的連环画,已經占領了旧的武俠和荒誕無稽的連环画的陣地。但是新的連环画也还有許多缺点,必須努力改进,主要的問题就是反映現实生活的题材太少。根据全国出版連环画較多的上海人民美术出版社、人民美术出版社、朝花美术出版社、河北人民美术出版社、天津美术出版社、江苏人民出版社和辽宁画报社等7家的不完全統計:1957年共出版連环画册750种(初版),其中以我国現实生活为題材的只有370种,不到半数。这370种中,描写工人和农民生活的又非常少。其余过半数則是編绘古代小
