[From “Renmin Ribao”, December 29, 2004] Some readers said that in the article published in this newspaper, the term “administrative village” is often used to refer to the lack of legal basis. The basis for this argument put forward by the readers is the current Constitution of the People’s Republic of China. According to the Constitution, the administrative division of our country is divided into townships, ethnic townships and towns at the county and autonomous county levels.
