Objective: To study the anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects of Shu-kuang-san and its acute toxicity test. Methods: Using egg white induced rat paw edema and histamine induced skin capillary permeability increased in rats observed Shu Kou San anti-inflammatory effect; the use of tail flick experiments and writhing test Shu Town Pain effect; measured mice Shucu San maximum tolerated. Results: Shu-kou-san significantly inhibited the inflammatory reaction induced by albumen-induced rat paw edema and histamine-induced increase of capillary permeability of the skin in rats. The tail flick test and writhing test showed that it significantly increased the pain Threshold, reduce the number of writhing; mice Shu Shu San maximum tolerance is 900 times the daily dose, and no significant side effects. Conclusion: Shu Kou San has anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. It is safe to use and has no obvious side effects.
