管理作为一门科学,还十分年轻。从泰勒在1911年发表《科学管理原理》一书标志着“科学管理”的开始算起,到现在才七十多年,而“管理科学”实际上是二次大战后才迅速发展起来的,这就为时更短了。然而,管理作为一门学问,却有着十分悠久的历史。以我们中国来说,在现代化管理方面虽然相对落后于一些先进国家,但是早在我国古代,就已经产生了比较科学的管理思想,并用于实践。现在我列举三个事例,来说明现代管理科学中的一些学科,如系统工程、信息系统、运筹学、经营战略、人事管理等等,是怎样被中国人民的祖先所运用的。
Management is still very young as a science. It was only seventy years since Taylor published the “Principles of Scientific Management” book in 1911 that marked the beginning of “scientific management.” The “management science” actually developed rapidly after the Second World War. This is even shorter. However, management as a science has a long history. In terms of our China, although it is relatively behind some advanced countries in modern management, as early as in ancient China, it has produced relatively scientific management ideas and is used in practice. Now I list three examples to illustrate how some disciplines in modern management science, such as systems engineering, information systems, operations research, business strategy, personnel management, etc., are used by the ancestors of the Chinese people.
