隋朝是我国历史上一个继秦之后另一个短逝的王朝,引起历史学者的注意。短暂的隋朝在位的只有对隋文帝与子隋炀帝两人。隋文帝隋朝的建立与建设作出了重要的贡献。隋炀帝在位仅十四年就使一个兴旺中的王朝被弄得民不聊生,结果自己也在农民起义的烈火中被缢死于江都。炀帝的失败主要在于其大兴土木、东征高丽与嫉贤拒谏。
