本文以多丽丝.莱辛回归现实主义的力作——《第五个孩子》为研究对象,旨在用俄国形式主义“陌生化”理论解读该作品在文本层次的话语。通过分析小说包括人物塑造、情节控制及视角变换这三方面的话语技巧来分别呈现陌生化在刻画人物、控制剧情和深化主题上的作用,领会作者围绕主人公的描述所传达的如何对待差异的主题,将小说的审美引入一个新的境地。
This article takes Doris Lessing’s masterpiece of returning to realism as the fifth child, and aims to interpret the discourse of the work at the text level using the theory of Russian formalism and defamiliarization. By analyzing the three aspects of discourse techniques including the characterization, plot control and perspective transformation, the novel presents the roles of defamiliarization in portraying characters, controlling plots and deepening themes respectively, and comprehends the theme of how the author addresses the differences conveyed by the protagonist’s description , The novel aesthetic into a new situation.
