一个简单而富于变化的舞台,一群为真理而抗争、为爱情而守望的人,一个关于理想与自由、激荡情怀而又缠绵悱恻的动人故事,一次赋予传统粤剧更多青春和生机的尝试……2004年10月29日傍晚的广州,霞光还没有退尽,广东外语外贸大学的同学们便纷纷向学校礼堂涌去,这是广州市文艺创作研究所制作的青春粤剧《梦惊西游》首次登场亮相。这部由粤剧界年轻人打造的青春粤剧,将初次在大学校园里与一群年轻大学生见面,第四届羊城国际粤剧节也由此拉开了序幕。
