在欢庆新疆维吾尔自治区成立40周年之际,回顾改革开放给新疆带来的巨大变化,令人赞叹不已!新疆的教育事业已形成了从初等教育到高等教育,从普通教育到成人教育的比较完整的教育体系.全区现有大专院校21所,在校生达3.36万人,其中少数民族学生为1.84万人,占在校学生总数的54.76%;每万人口拥有在校大学生21.26人,比全国在校平均数多3.26人.
