本文为刘菊初老先生遗作。 刘菊初(1879-1954),名安芳,字馨圃,号菊初,山西柳林县高村人(今高红村)。毕业于山西优级师范学堂,先后任离石、柳林高级小学校长,曾在平遥乙种实业学校、兴县中学任教,晚年任贺昌中学首任校长。 刘老先生毕生致力于教育事业,学有素养,教育有方,德高望重,深得青年学子的爱戴,贺昌、牛荫冠、刘墉如、冯静川等皆出于老先生门下。 “七七”事变,日军侵入,刘老先生激于民族义愤,虽年逾花甲,仍毅然抛弃家园,于1940年投奔晋西北边区政府,参加了革命工作,并于1942年担任了晋西北临参会参议员、晋西北行署行政委员、四专署教育科科长等职。同年参加了延安参观团,受到了毛主席及中央领导的接见。 抗战胜利后,历任解放区战犯调查委员会晋绥边区委员、离石县议会副议长等职。建国后,曾任离石县各界人民代表会议代表及筹备委员、离石县政府委员等职。刘老先生为人正派,克己奉公,建言参事,尽忠守职,屡得政府明令嘉许。 本文为刘菊初老先生当年参观延安时写的日记,对延安及边区的政治、经济、文化、教育等均有较为详细的记载,内容丰富,文笔流畅,具有较高的史料价值及较强的可读性,特首刊于此,以飨读者。 本文由刘菊初老先生之子、原山西省文物局局长刘静山先生提供。

Although he was overpowered for years, he decided to abandon his homeland and defected to the government of the northwestern Shanxi Border Region in 1940. He took part in the revolutionary work and took over the northwestern Shanxi in 1942 Senate participant, Administrative Committee of Northwest Administrative Office of Shanxi Province, Chief of Education Department of Fourth Agency. In the same year, he attended the Yan’an delegation and was interviewed by Chairman Mao and the Central Government. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, he served successively as a member of the Jurisprudence Commission for the Investigation of the Liberated Areas and a deputy speaker of the Lishi County Assembly. After the founding of the PRC, former Lishishi County people’s congress deputies and preparatory members, Lishi County government members. Mr. Liu Lao people decent, self-denominating, counseling counselors, loyalty to keep the job, repeated the government commended. This article is a diary written by Mr. Liu Juchu, who visited Yan’an in the same year, and has a detailed record of politics, economy, culture and education in Yan’an and the border areas.
