In France, in order to exploit the most important geothermal projects, BBR glass fiber reinforced plastic pipes manufactured by SIPAP of Oissel have been selected. By 1990, geothermal projects installed in France would have an energy equivalent to 5 million tons of crude oil. The annual output of the thermodynamic system in the urban district of Jonzac amounts to 2,000 tons, a net saving of 1.95 million francs. These geothermal resources mainly import heat energy generated by burning rice straw and wood chips, and transfer these heat energy to public buildings, private houses and entire industrial areas. Serie Picardy “HT” selects BBR pipe for 18km thermal system due to its ability to meet 100°C high temperature technology
