As we all know, teaching hospitals are more expensive than non-teaching hospitals. For example, the adjusted average hospital cost per inpatient for more than 300 teaching hospitals in 1981 was approximately twice that of non-teaching hospitals. People have also put forward some reasons for this disparity. Teaching hospitals must bear the costs of those directly or indirectly complex teaching projects. They also have to do a considerable amount of clinical research work, and these costs cannot be compensated by off-campus grants and contracts. The condition of their patients seems to be more serious and more complicated, so they need more careful treatment. Teaching hospitals are usually tertiary medical centers for advanced patients. Therefore, relatively speaking, it is necessary to have more professional medical personnel and adopt more extensive technologies while they must have considerable spare equipment. In addition, they often receive more unpaid patients than non-teaching hospitals. Teaching hospitals for those teaching studies that they think of them
