我厂炼钢电炉炉门气泵的密封,原采用牛油盘根作垫料,因温度较高,盘根中的牛油被烘干,造成炉门气泵漏气,严重时牛油盘根被烧掉,造成炉门气泵失灵,炉门打不开。为了解决这一问题,我们采用膨胀石墨环(浙江慈溪密封材料厂生产)代替牛油盘根作炉门气泵密封垫料,它具有耐高温、柔性好、适用性强、摩擦系数低和自润滑性好等优点。根据气泵轴径的大小,我们选用了φ55×φ40×10的膨胀石墨环共四只装机,经使用后拆检,石墨环并无损坏,而且密封性能也很好,从此再也没有发生打不开电炉炉门现象。经济上因石墨环使用寿命长、可重复使用、且拆装方便等,因此,它也是可取的。
