六年制数学第九册“测量土地”练习二十四中有这样一题:有一台播种机,作业宽度1. 8米。用拖拉机牵引,按每小时行6千米计算,每小时可以播种多少公亩?学生对题中的“作业宽度”不理解,纷纷举手要我讲一讲。对于这个与生产实际有密切联系的问题,第一次教学时,我采取“冷处理”,让学生课后观察播种机播种(或压路机压路等),然后解这道题。平平淡淡就这样过去了。第二学期学生又在课本中碰到了下面一题:
