认知框架是在人们在反复的认知体验过程中,通过概括提炼而形成的抽象知识构架,它包括纯粹的语言知识和背景百科知识。语言教学中,听力是语言输入的重要环节,传统听力教学侧重于积累和巩固语言知识,往往忽略了学生的背景百科知识在听力理解过程发挥的重要作用。同时,在语言学习中,阅读和听力是不可分割的两大语言输入方式,通过不同体裁的、广泛的阅读文本信息输入,积累丰富的认知框架,能够帮助提高听力理解能力。本文从框架理论的视角,探讨阅读中积累的认知框架与英语听力理解的关系和对其产生的影响,从而更好地发挥认知框架在听力学习中的积极作用,进一步促进英语听力教学。
Cognitive framework is an abstract knowledge framework formed through the general refinement of people in the process of repeated cognitive experience, which includes pure linguistic knowledge and background encyclopedic knowledge. Listening is an important part of language input in language teaching. Traditional listening teaching focuses on the accumulation and consolidation of language knowledge, often neglecting the important role that students’ background encyclopedic knowledge play in listening comprehension. At the same time, reading and listening are two indispensable language input methods in language learning. Through the input of different genres and extensive reading text information, the accumulation of a rich cognitive framework can help improve listening comprehension. From the perspective of frame theory, this article explores the relationship between the cognitive framework and English listening comprehension in reading and the impact it has on them, so that the cognitive framework can play a more active role in listening comprehension and further promote the teaching of English listening comprehension.
