儒学在现代社会的开展需要厘清常与变两个面向。常的面向包含天道信仰与伦理责任。天道信仰兼具生生不息、天人合一的维度,是中国人对于宇宙人生的价值性理解。伦理责任则是中国人对于人生在世所应担当的道德责任的理解。变的面向包含了对于民主与科学的重新审视。它们虽然不是传统儒学所擅长,但可以在儒家的根本精神与圆善旨向的基础上被儒学体系所容纳接受。
The development of Confucianism in modern society needs to clarify the two aspects of constant and change. Often oriented to include the belief in heaven and the ethical responsibility. The belief in Heaven is a combination of both nature and mankind. It is a Chinese understanding of the value of the universe. Ethical responsibility is the Chinese understanding of the moral responsibility that people should have in life. Changing face contains a re-examination of democracy and science. Although they are not good at traditional Confucianism, they can be accepted by Confucianism system on the basis of Confucianism and goodness.
