During his visit to Princeton University in April 1979, Bertel Ohlin made a speech on tribute to Frank D. Graham. At that time, he was still so shy and quick-witted. Therefore, the news of his passing on August 3 of the same year came. People were both surprised and shocked by his ability to make friends with people, his warm-hearted attitude and gentle manner. When we evaluate his position in the field of economics, we can hardly refrain from any partiality. Fortunately, his outstanding contribution is strong evidence in itself. Bertil Ohlin is an outstanding political economist who has done both in economics and in national affairs. He previously majored in mathematics while studying at Lund University in Sweden. He later turned to economics at Stockholm School of Economics, where he was deeply influenced by Eli Heckscher. Then he went to Stockholm University to study, one of his teachers is Gustavus Kassel. He was a member of the club of political economy at the time and was therefore quite familiar with Knut Wexel.
