武汉三师座落在武汉市江夏区青龙山国家森林公园内,是教书育人的理想园地。砺园位于该校教学区,是由教学楼、科技楼、图书馆、艺术楼与校园主干道所围合的空间景域。砺园取《荀子·劝学》“金就砺则利”和《宋史·神宗纪赞》“厉精图治,将大可为”之意而题名。一、指导思想为把武汉三师建成富有教育内涵,融生态、审美、游憩于一体的园林式校园。在构成要素上,应以植物造景为主,适当点缀园林小品,为师生营造一个生态健全、环境优美、功能实用的工作、学习环境。在植物配置上,首先,注意选用不同季节的观赏植物,构成具有季相变化的时序景观,以达到春有花、夏有荫、秋有色、冬有青的四季景观效果;其次,注意选用我国传统园林植物,使人产生比拟联想,升华园林境界,于有限空间创造无限意
