1989年5月1日,在山西省劳动模范表彰大会上,一位身材魁伟的中年人,健步登上主席台,从省领导手中接过金光灿灿的奖杯。他就是山西永济纺织厂厂长杜永祥。谁也不能想象,永济纺织厂1984年是个濒临倒闭的企业,债台高垒,欠款767万元;人心浮动,几百人的小厂,一年中就有120多名干部职工申请外调。 1984年12月就任厂长的杜永祥,5年迈了5大步!1986年,荣获山西省唯一的“企业管理奖”;1987年,荣获山西省唯一的“八项经济技术指标全部达一档先进奖”,被省政府命名为“省级先进企业”;1988年,荣获省“质量管理奖”;1989年,第三次荣获全省唯一的纺织部“双文明建设优秀企业”称号。
