我国高等教育自学考试制度自1981年创立以来,已经历了十五年。十五年来,在各级党委和政府的领导下,在各级教育行政部门的关心和支持下,通过自考战线上全体同志的艰苦创业和辛勤工作以及普通高校、社会有关部门的共同努力,自学考试事业获得了很大的发展,取得了显著的成绩。截止1996年上半年,全国30个省、自治区、直辖市共开考高等教育自学考试专业410种,其中本科专业113种,为各类专科毕业生开设的独立本科段专业30种,专科专业267个。开考以来,累计报名考生(不计重复)逾2000 万人。目前,建档在藉考生670多万人。毕业生130余万人,其中,本科4万多人,有近8千人取得学士学位。另外,还有中专自考毕
