此图,是麦积山石窟壁画的一个小局部。麦积山石窟,在甘肃省天水市东南45公里的麦积山,现存窟龛194个,壁画约1000多平方米。北魏洞窟壁画数量较多,除飞天、莲花等装饰性图案外,还有在窟顶或四壁绘出内容连续的大型佛本生故事。大型经变画,有维摩经变、西方净土变等。127窟,形制不大而壁画特别丰富,为麦积山诸窟之冠。窟中右壁所画《西方净土变》,人物和建筑众
