The traditional Chinese medicine peony bark is the dry root bark of the peony Paeonia suffruticosa Andrews and is widely used for the treatment of skin diseases. It also has other pharmacological effects. However, it is rarely reported about its effect on experimental allergic reaction models. In vivo and in vitro experiments were used to evaluate the anti-allergic effects of ethanol extracts of Cortex Moutan on experimental allergic reactions. The dried moutan bark powder was extracted with ethanol for 2 h, filtered, and the filter residue was repeated for the above operation. Combine the two filtrates and concentrate under reduced pressure.
