60年代中期起,南朝鲜当局开始把旅游业作为“战略产业”,并制定相应的政策,因而旅游业有了较快的发展。进入70年代后,人们到亚太地区旅游兴趣日益增浓,南朝鲜的旅游业发展更为迅速。特别是1986年亚运会和1988年夏季汉城奥运会的举行,加之西半球的一些主要航线向南朝鲜延伸或向南朝鲜开放,给南朝鲜旅游业的发展起到了很大的促进作用。据统计,1985年南朝鲜的外国旅游者为133万人次,1988年已达200万人次。目前南朝鲜当局正在检查和修订有关规定,积极采取措施,以促进旅游业的更大发展。首先是扩建和改善各种旅游交通设施。南朝鲜具有秀丽的天然美景和文化古迹。但长期来这些旅游资源集中的地区大部分还不具备方便游览的设施。近年来,南朝鲜当局除制定国土综合开发计划外,各城市制定了市政建设远景规划,把发展旅游业列为规划的重点项目之一。并在此基础上,建立起了包括旅馆、提供旅游设施、交通运输、通讯服务等各行业结为一体的游乐中心。目前南朝鲜当局还
Since the mid-1960s, the south Korean authorities began to regard tourism as a “strategic industry” and formulated corresponding policies. As a result, tourism has enjoyed rapid development. After entering the 1970s, people are increasingly interested in traveling to the Asia-Pacific region and the tourism industry in South Korea develops more rapidly. In particular, the hosting of the 1986 Asian Games and the 1988 Summer Seoul Olympics and the extension of some major routes in the Western Hemisphere to South Korea or to South Korea have played a significant role in promoting the development of South Korea’s tourism industry. According to statistics, in 1985, South Korea’s foreign tourists reached 1.33 million and in 1988 it reached 2 million.
