王岳川,北京大学中文系一级教授、博导,北京大学书法研究所副所长,兼任书法专业博士导师。国际书法家协会副主席,享受国务院特殊津贴专家,中国作家协会会员,中国书法家协会会员。现为中国中外文艺理论学会副会长,中国文艺理论学会副会长,中国文化书院客座教授,复旦大学等十所大学的客座教授,日本金泽大学客座教授,中南大学特聘讲座教授。著西方文论和美学著作有:《西方文艺理论名著教程》、《后现代主义文化研究》、《后现代主义文化与美学》、《文艺现象学》、《艺术本体论》、《文艺学美学方法论》、《后殖民与新历史主义文论》、《现象学与解释学文论》、《二十世纪西方哲性诗学》、《20世纪西方文艺理论丛书》九卷本、《后现代后殖民主义在中国》、《千岳川文集》四卷本、《中国后现代话语》、《西方艺术精神》、《当代西方最新文论教程》。

Vice Chairman of International Calligraphers Association, enjoy the special allowance of the State Council experts, members of the Chinese Writers Association, China Calligraphers Association. He is now Vice President of Chinese and Foreign Literary Theory Society, Vice President of Chinese Literature and Art Theory Association, Visiting Professor of Chinese Culture Academy, Visiting Professor at ten universities including Fudan University, visiting professor at Kanazawa University in Japan, and chair professor at Central South University.
